We booked Marisa for our engagement shoot. Our pictures turned out AMAZING! We decided to book her for our wedding as well. Choosing Marisa as our photographer was the best choice we made. Not only did our pictures turn out amazing but she helped us through the process. Such as setting a timeline, keeping us updated, reminders, vendor recommendations and quick to respond. Marisa is a sweet angel, she made us feel very comfortable during our shoot and knew how to make us laugh for the camera. I got engaged in Spring 2019, and utilized social media channels to locate wedding photographers. There were so many professionals in the business, so identifying the ideal photographer to partner with was a daunting task. Thanks to Instagram, my long search led me to Marisa’s portfolio that captivated my attention – and immediately followed her. She followed me back, and from there, we messaged a potential timeframe to proceed with partnership. Unfortunately the 2020 pandemic came, but we still kept in touch and when the global pandemic toned down a few years later – we coordinated several phone calls to chat about what features myself and fiancé (now husband) were looking for. We were satisfied with her proposal, and impressed by the personal endeavors that contributed to her career. We chose Marisa to shoot our engagement session in October 2022, and our wedding day in May 2023. 

Our engagement photoshoot was held in Muir Beach, CA. During the session, my partner and I were quite nervous with how to pose. Marisa was very friendly, patient, and resourceful in all forums – from her to guide us on reacting to and away from the camera; coordinating gestures and movements that complement a couple’s chemistry in eye-contact and body language; and simultaneously integrating the sunset, horizon, and blue skies from the background. Marisa works very quick, and even delivered a few sample photos the next day – followed by the remaining portfolio within weeks. Fast forward to our wedding day in Truckee, CA. Marisa went down to business, utilized every minute – and did not waste any time to photograph each moment of us (as bride and groom) together & separately. She has a sharp attention to incorporating the environment, like placing our rings on a rose bush to grab a quick shot of its radiance between the sunshine. Additionally, Marisa was also cooperative and approachable in collaborating with our videographer, Jared of Seider Media, to photograph and film the ceremony and reception of our special day!

Marisa is not only a professional, but more importantly, a trustworthy individual who stays true to her passion of photography. I strongly recommend her to anyone in search of a photographer, whether the occasion be of wedding sessions or otherwise!
